A key driver for moving our practice to Baird in late 2020 is the firm’s alignment with our values—both in terms of community involvement and philanthropy. #BairdGivesBack is an initiative to both broaden and deepen associate involvement in volunteer opportunities and advancement activities in our local communities. Our Baird Foundation supports nonprofit organizations aligned with our focus on health and human services, education, the arts and diversity. Our foundation seeks to support organizations where associates are actively engaged and making personal philanthropic contributions to maximize impact. In 2021, The Baird Foundation contributed $5.4 million to qualified non-profits and provided matching dollars to associates contributions of $3+ million.
We continue to be involved in community engagement activities and philanthropy in both Austin, TX and Minneapolis/Saint Paul, MN. We have and continue to serve in leadership volunteer positions to help make our communities better for our clients, friends and neighbors.
Impact Austin
Impact Austin is a Women's collective giving organization that serves the Central Texas Community through high-impact grant making. Since 2003, Impact Austin has invested $9.14 million in Central Texas. This includes 133 high-impact grants benefiting 103 nonprofits and their clients. Susan has channeled a large part of her philanthropic energies into leadership positions and sponsorships for Impact Austin to support the ongoing work being done to help our neighbors.
Central Texas Food Bank works with food donors across the country, financial supporters and volunteers to fill unmet needs in Central Texas. To accomplish their mission they share free food and knowledge, assist families who qualify for federal assistance programs, & offer affordable food to their partners.
